When I first graduated from the University of Manitoba Physiotherapy program in 2006, I was excited about being able to help people feel better. I started my career working in a private practice clinic doing just that. After a few years of working, I became more confident in my knowledge and skills and decided I wanted to open my own clinic. It was January of 2013 Charleswood Physiotherapy was born. My vision for this clinic was based on quality care and exceptional customer service. In the early days of building my clinic, I also maintained a part-time position with WRHA, working in community care two days a week. I went into people's homes who needed physiotherapy for a variety of different reasons. I really enjoyed being able to spend one on one time with the patient and felt I was able to accomplish so much more during our visit. Home visit physiotherapy treatment was always exciting as it allowed me to think outside the box, be innovative and most importantly devote my attention to one person at a time. This led to the decision to sell my clinic and go back to practicing in the community. Appointments are scheduled around the individual patient's needs. It is great for people who don't drive, run a home business such as a home daycare, maybe have mobility difficulties, or who would just feel more comfortable in their own home. Each appointment is booked with ample time, providing education to clients on their conditions, reviewing exercises and tailoring treatment programs for each individual. From my own personal experience in the health care system, I always felt rushed and as though I never had enough time. Your health is important to me and I will continue to do my best everyday to ensure you are getting the quality care you expect and need.  I pride myself in providing excellent customer service, professionalism and Quality over quantity care!
